Hadi El Bagoury's Etisalat Ad Exceeds 11 Million Views in Less than a Week
In less than a week, Etisalat Egypt's new ad by director Hadi El Bagoury, featuring starMohamed Ramadan, topped YouTube's most watched videos with more than 11 million views.
Hadi El Bagoury has directed several TV commercials and music videos for an extensive number of the Arab world's big-name singers and celebrities such as Mohamed Mounir,
Samira Said and Amr Diab.
Two of director Hadi El Bagoury's TV commercials won the Gold Award under the Film category at 10th Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity. The two winning TV ads are part of a commercial campaign for EDITA's new products of its iconic Molto croissant. Hadi El Bagoury used the magical realism style to introduce these two products, blending the reality of the Egyptian street with fictional characters.
With his diverse experience in cinema, TV dramas, in addition to commercials and music videos, director Hadi El Bagoury's experience was not only about making mere attempts in these fields, but it was about using his experience through alternative creative media.
In 2016, El Bagoury directed Hepta: The Last Lecture that is based on Mohamed Sadek's best-selling book, Hepta, which portrays the seven stages of love through four paralleled stories. Mohamed Sadek's novel topped the charts in Egypt and throughout the Arab world for several weeks, and sold 36 editions.
With an enormous cast list, Hepta: The Last Lecture has become the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of Egyptian cinema as the film's revenues increase to hit more than 27 million EGP since its release in Egyptian theaters.
Director Hadi El Bagoury received a number of prestigious awards for his film Hepta: The Last Lecture including; Best Director award at the Arabian Cinema Awards (ACA), a special award under the name of late director Mohamed Khan at the 43rd Cairo Film Society Festival, DG Best Director Award at the 2016 annual poll of the Dear Guest Magazine (DG Awards) and Best Egyptian Director of 2016 Award at the 65th Egyptian Catholic Center Cinema Festival.
With his diverse experience in cinema, TV dramas, in addition to commercials and music video, Director Hadi El Bagoury's repertoire includes A'ard Khas series, Wahed Sahih film which won the Best Directorial Debut award at the Egyptian National Film Center, in addition to the thriller film Warda.
Recently, El Bagoury is working on the new film Al Deif (The Guest), written by Ibrahim Eissa and stars Ahmed Malek, Shereen Reda, Khaled Elsawy, Jamila Awad, Maged El Kedwany and Mohamed Mamdouh.
