Mohamed Khan's Before the Summer Crowds Hits Emirati Theatres

MAD Solutions revealed that Mohamed Khan's feature, Before the Summer Crowds, will be released in the UAE at YAS Mall Cinema on Thursday, May 19th. Coming as part of a broader plan, the film is set to expand for a wider theatrical release across further Arab countries, the list of which will be revealed on a later date.

Last April, Before the Summer Crowds hit the Egyptian theatres as the starting point of its commercial tour through the Arab world. This was followed by the film's release in Iraq; in Baghdad and Erbil on May 5th, and in Tunisia on the 11th of the same month.

Before the Summer Crowds is co-written by Ghada Shahbandar and Nura El Sheikh, who also participated in the screenwriting. The film stars Maged El Kedwany, Hana Shiha, Ahmed Dawood, Lana Mushtaq and Hany El Metennawy. Set in a seaside resort, the film tracks a group of people who meet each other by the beginning of summer season.

In December 2015, Before the Summer Crowds landed its world premiere at the heart of the 12th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), where it was selected to compete in the
Muhr Feature Films Competition. In March, the film was selected for the closing night screening by the 5th Luxor African Film Festival competing within the Long Narrative Films competition.

Before the Summer Crowds is co-produced by five production houses, Middle West Films, Film Clinic, The Producers, Wika for Film Production and Distribution and MAD Solutions, which is in charge of the film's international distribution through its distribution arm: MAD Distribution.
