A Multi-national Cast Team Up in the Emirati Comedy From A to B

The light-hearted Emirati comedy From A to B hits Egyptian theatres and opens 2015's film season. The new film is a significant milestone in local Arab co-productions as it encompasses a team of high-caliber Arab filmmakers and cinema professionals.

Comprising a staggering array of filmmakers from the Arab world and beyond, From A to B brings together Saudi filmmaker Ahd, who has an extensive career of making films and acting, South Korean comedian Wonho Chung, American actress Madeline Zima (Californication), Palestinian actor Ali Suliman (Paradise Now), and Leem Lubany, who starred in the Oscar-nominated Palestinian feature Omar, alongside a number of Egyptian stars including Khaled Abol Naga, Maha Abou Ouf and scriptwriter/producer Mohamed Hefzy.

A true pan-Arab film, From A to B stars Egyptian comedian Shadi Alfons, Saudi stand-up comedian Fahd Albutairi, and Syrian Fadi Rifaai with Yousra El Louzy, and Syrian actor Samer El Masri.

From A to B is set to entertain audiences in the Arab world and beyond, as it presents three young Arab expats who undertake a road trip from their hometown, Abu Dhabi, to Beirut in memory of their best friend. Their plan to cover 2,500 kilometers over three days is fraught with obstacles as well as funny moments as they travel across the region.

Based on a story by the film's Emirati helmer Ali Mostafa, From A to B is written by Scriptwriter and Producer Mohamed Hefzy, with contribution from Ashraf Hamdy and Ronnie Khalil. The film is produced by twofour54 and Image Nation Abu Dhabi with support from Paul Baboudjian, Mohamed Hefzy and Ali Mostafa.

Last October, From A to B landed as the first Emirati feature to open Abu Dhabi Film Festival at its 8th edition, where it received its World Premiere. From A to B also had its International Premiere at Cairo International Film Festival last November.
