Yousra is Jury President at the International Competition in CIFF
Egyption star Yousra has been selected by Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) as the jury of the International Competition at its 36th edition (November 9-18). Yousra is the first Egyptian assigned as the Jury President in the history of the festival competition.

The jury includes 8 leading film professionals from across the Arab world, Asia, Africa and Europe; featuring filmmakers, scriptwriters, producers, cinematographers and critics. One of the most notable auteurs on the list is Wang Xiaoshuai, whose most recent film Red Amnesia has contended at Venice Film Festival this year.

The jury also encompasses Haile Gerima, Ethiopia's first-rate director and one of Africa's foremost filmmakers; in addition to Dutch Corinne van Egeraat, French film director Dominique Cabrera, Lebanese critic Ibrahim Al Arees, Greek critic Alexis Grivas, a Egyptian scriptwriter Mariam Naoum and cinematographer Nancy Abdel Fattah.

The International Competition comprises 16 feature-length films, varying between narrative fictions, documentaries and animations. Screenings are open to the public audience at the
Main Hall, Cairo Opera House with a double screening each day at 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm through 11-17 November, 2014.
