World War Z Makes US$66 Million in Its First Weekend
World War Z became the highest opening of a Brad Pitt film in the US, earning US$66 million in its first weekend. The film matched its US the success worldwide making US$45 million in international box office, bringing its total to US$111 million.

The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop a pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.

As part of the film promotion, Brad Pitt attended multiple early screenings of World War Z in the US, surprising fans of the Hollywood star.

World War Z is helmed by prolific director Marc Forester, director of Finding Neverland, The KiteRunner and Quantum of Solace and is produced by Brad Pitt. Starring opposite Brad Pitt are Mireille Enos and Matthew Fox. The film is currently showing in Egyptian theatres by Four Star Films Egypt.
