Following its successful release in cinemas across Jordan, the UAE and Lebanon on Thursday, March 19th, 2015, Naji Abu Nowar's long-anticipated film Theeb was well received by the crowds on its opening day. On the film's opening weekend, most of the theatres posted the 'full-house' sign, and over 70% of the houses' capacity was packed with crowds. The unprecedented audiences show-up stands as a testimony for Theeb's massive success as an Arab film screening outside the traditional festivals' seasons. Theeb had a successful festival tour worldwide where it reaped the total of 9 awards to its record.

MAD Solutions has revealed the first records of the opening weekend in the Arab world that Amman witnessed a total of 4 fully packed screenings, in Abu Dhabi almost all screening venues were full house as well, and in YAS Mall, the majority of the screenings were attended by Emirati nationals.

At the film's screening in Mall of the Emirates at 09:30 pm last Thursday, a fire alarm rang that the crowds stumbled to escape the fire, but once it was updated it was false every one retrieved their seats to enjoy watching the film.

Theeb had its theatrical release across Jordan, the UAE and Lebanon on Thursday, March 19th, 2015, by MAD Solutions, who announced that on March 26th there will be a wider cinematic release of the film across further countries.
