United Motion Pictures Releases The Conjuring
United Motion Pictures released in Egyptian theaters today the surprise horror hit of the summer, The Conjuring, the biggest horror film of 2013.
Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, The Conjuring tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, theWarrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.
The Conjuring was made with a budget of US$20 million and went on to earn in its first weekend of release in the US US$41.5 million and US$136 million since its release. The film matched the US success worldwide earning US$135 million outside the US brining its total to US$271 million.
The Conjuring stars Lili Taylor, Ron Livingston, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson and is directed by James Wan. Untied Motion Pictures, the biggest film distributor in the Arab world and the sole distributor of Warner Bros. films in Egypt released the film in Egyptian theatres.
