Unique Character Posters for The Wolverine
20th Century Fox released a number of unique character posters for the upcoming action adventure The Wolverine. The posters' style are based on an East Asian type of brush painting.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine is the second film in the X-Men spinoff series that follows the story of Logan/Wolverine played by Hugh Jackman. The first film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, was released in 2009 following the international success of the original X-Men trilogy, which earned over a $1.1 billion worldwide. The success of the franchise continued with X-Men: First Class in 2011, with a planned sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past.
