Three of the films distributed by MAD Solutions are set to take part in the 7th Karama Human Rights Film Festival (KHRF) in Jordan (6 - 10 December), that will be held at the Royal Cultural Center under the theme "Are you a human being?"

Director Mohamed Diab's film Clash will take part in the festival as the opening film, alongside late Director Mohamed Khan's film Before the Summer Crowds, and Jordanian film 3000 Nights by Palestinian director Mai Masri, as the closing film.

The three films will be screened in the attendance of the cast, as Clash opens the festival on Tuesday, December 6th in the Main Hall, and an extra screening will be held for the film the following day followed by a discussion with actor Tarek Abd El Aziz. As for Before the Summer Crowds, the film will be screened on Friday, December 9th in the Main Hall after an honoring ceremony for the late director Mohamed Khan in the presence of Hana Shiha and Lana Mushtaq. Closing the festival, the 3000 Nights film screening will be held on Saturday, December 10th in the Main Hall as well with its director Mai Masri in attendance, before the award ceremony begins.

Karama Human Rights Film Festival (KHRFF) is an annual five-day festival held in Jordan. Dozens of Arab and international films take part in the festival which aims to raise awareness of human rights issues and violations around the globe through film screenings, discussions, and an educational program that is held in schools, universities and community centers in Jordan.

Clash:

Directed by Mohamed Diab, Clash has won 9 awards at international festivals. It opened the prestigious Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. The Administration of the Dubai International Film Festival selected the film to compete at the Golden Globe Awards this year. It was also selected as Egypt's official submission to the Best Foreign-language Film category at the Academy Awards.

Tackling the political unrest that prevailed in Egypt in 2013, Clash's events take place in an 8-meter police truck, crammed with detainees representing different sects of society, their interaction with each other full of madness, violence, romance, and comedy.

Co-written by Khaled Diab and Mohamed Diab, who is also the director, Clash is a co-production between France, Egypt, Germany, and the UAE. The cast includes Nelly Karim, Tarek Abd El Aziz, Hany Adel, Ahmed Malek, Ashraf Hamdi, Mohamed Abdel Azim, Gamil Barsoum and others.

Clash is a joint production effort between Arab and European companies: Film Clinic (Egypt), Sampek Productions (France), and Acamedia Global (UAE), in association with ARTE France Cinema (France), Niko Film (Germany), Fortress Film Clinic (UAE), and Pyramide International (France). Taking part in the project are producers Moez Masoud, Mohamed Hefzy, Eric Lagesse, and it is co-produced by Nicole Gerhards, alongside executive producers Jamal Al Dabbous and Daniel Ziskind. Mohamed Diab's wife, Sarah Goher, also acted as a creative collaborator on the film, earning the title "Creative Producer". The film is distributed in Egyptian theatres by MAD Solutions, while Pyramide International is distributing it in France and the rest of the world.

Before the Summer Crowds:

Before the Summer Crowds is the last film by late director Mohamed Khan. Co-written by Ghada Shahbandar and Nura El Sheikh, who also participated in the screenwriting, the film stars Maged El Kedwany, Hana Shiha, Ahmed Dawood, Lana Mushtaq and Hany El Metennawy. Set in a seaside resort, the film tracks a group of people who meet each other by the beginning of summer season.

Before the Summer Crowds is co-produced by five production houses, Middle West Films, Film Clinic, The Producers, Wika for Film Production and Distribution and MAD Solutions, which is in charge of the film's international distribution through its distribution arm: MAD Distribution.

3000 Nights

Director Mai Masri's film 3000 Nights has won 18 awards at international festivals, and is now Palestine's official submission for the Golden Globe Awards, while it is also Jordan's official submission to the 2017 Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

3000 Nights is a co-production between Jordan, Palestine, France, UAE, Qatar and Lebanon. MAD Solutions is in charge of the distribution of the film in the Arab world. 3000 Nights tells the story of a young Palestinian school teacher who gives birth to her son in an Israeli prison, where she fights to protect him, survive and maintain hope. The film stars Maisa Abdelhadi, Nadera Omran, Raida Adon, Rakeen Saad, Abeer Haddad, Anahid Fayad, Haifa Al Agha, Khitam Edelbi and Hana Chamoun.
