Under their partnership agreement, Darb 1718 center is going to hold screenings of three films distributed by MAD Solutions within its August programme. After its successful screening of the Jordanian Oscar-nominated film Theeb, the center will continue to hold screenings of films distributed by the company.
Darb 1718 is going to screen the films: Only Men Go to the Grave by Abdulla Al Kaabi, Kiss Me Not by Ahmed Amer and the documentary Gaza Surf Club by Philip Gnadt and Mickey Yamine, on Sunday, August 5, 12 and 26 at 08:30 PM at the center's headquarters. About Only Men Go to the Grave:
After the Iraq-Iran war ended in 1988, a blind mother welcomes her estranged daughters to tell them a secret. Unfortunately, she accidentally dies while sharing it. During the funeral, the daughters try to deal with their mother's sudden death and also work together to unveil her secret by looking for clues from visitors. Throughout the funeral, their own lives continue to unravel, giving room for buried family tensions to gradually surface, while struggling to deal with their own secrets and deep-rooted guilt. The arrival of an unfamiliar guest rocks the entire foundation of their family. How do they deal with the aftermath?
Only Men Go to the Grave stars Saleema Yaqoub, Heba Sabah and Abdelreza Nasari. The film is written and directed by Abdulla Al Kaabi marking his debut feature film. MAD Solutions distributes the film in the Arab world.

About Kiss Me Not:
Written and directed by Ahmed Amer, Kiss Me Not follows a young and ambitious Egyptian director who faces issues while shooting a kissing scene in his new film with the leading actress Fajr who decides to pursue a more religious path.
Kiss Me Not stars Yasmin Raeis, Mohamed Mahran, Salwa Mohamed Ali and Aida Riad with guest stars actress Sawsan Badr, along with late director Mohamed Khan and director Khairy Beshara as them selves. The film is produced by Middle west Films, WIKA for Film Production and Distribution and MAD Solutions and distributed by MAD Distribution.
