Theory of Everything Earns 4 Golden Globe Nominations
Theory of Everything became a major contender for the awards season following the announcement of the Golden Globes Awards nominations by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association earning four nominations.

The biopic received a nomination for Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Performance By An Actress - Drama for Felicity Jones, Best Performance By An Actor - Drama for Eddie Redmayne and Best Original Score.

Starring Eddie Redmayne (Les Misérables) and Felicity Jones (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), this is the extraordinary story of one of the world's greatest living minds, the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, who falls deeply in love with fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde. Once a healthy, active young man, Hawking received an earth-shattering diagnosis at 21 years of age. With Jane fighting tirelessly by his side, Stephen embarks on his most ambitious scientific work, studying the very thing he now has precious little of - time. Together, they defy impossible odds, breaking new ground in medicine and science, and achieving more than they could ever have dreamed. The film is based on the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen, by Jane Hawking, and is directed by Academy Award winner James Marsh (Man on Wire).

Laika's 3D family animation The Boxtrolls earned a nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.

The Boxtrolls is a comedic fable that unfolds in Cheesebridge, a posh Victorian-era town obsessed with wealth, class and the stinkiest of fine cheeses. Beneath its charming cobblestone streets dwell the Boxtrolls, foul monsters who crawl out of the sewers at night and steal what the townspeople hold most dear: their children and their cheeses. At least that's the legend residents have always believed. In truth, the Boxtrolls are an underground cavern-dwelling community of quirky and lovable oddballs who wear recycled cardboard boxes the way turtles wear their shells.

Four Star Films Egypt, the distributor of Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures films in Egypt, released The Boxtrolls this year and will release Theory of Everything in February 2015.
