Producer Hani Osama of The Producers has announced the beginning of the pre-production phase of Hepta: The Last Lecture, a new film based on Mohamed Sadek's novel Hepta which topped the bestseller list for several weeks and broke the records as 36 editions of the book were released since 2014.

Producer Hani Osama and director Hadi El Bagoury and have chosen Wael Hamdy as the scriptwriter of the film directed by Hadi El Bagoury. Hadi explained why he approved to direct Hepta in an official statement, saying, "Hepta is a dramatic and realistic emotionally charged novel about - in my opinion- the most universal and important thing in life; love."

Hepta, which means number seven in ancient Greek, takes the reader in a journey to the worn-out world of love, which was tackled by thousands of authors throughout the years. Despite the fact that love is a recurrent theme, almost everyone commits the same mistakes, goes through the same pains and gets entangled in the same dreams and hopes. Sadek, in his novel, tracks the seven stages of love namely; the beginning, the encounter, the relationship, the wakefulness, the truth, which is followed by the decision, and then the ending, or the "Hepta" stage.

Penned by aspiring writer Mohamed Sadek, Hepta marks the author's third novel, following his debut novel Taha al-Ghareeb and Bedeia Saat Men Youmin Ma. Shortly after its release in 2014 by Rewaq for Publishing, Hepta was a massive success, topping the bestseller lists of Al Shoroq bookshops for several weeks. Hepta Hit the highest record on Goodreads' lists during June 2014 across several Arab countries.
