The Band and Before We Heal Screens at the First Cine4all Fest
The short film Before We Heal by Nadim Hobeika and the documentary film The Band by Albaqer Jafeer have been selected to be screened at the 1st Cine4all Fest (6-8 December) at the Creativity Center in the Cairo Opera House. MAD Solutions handles the films' distribution in the Arab world.

Founded by Egyptian director Waheed Sobhi, Cine4All Fest, which will launch its first edition this December, is an Egyptian film festival for documentaries, short films, and music videos. The festival includes an award ceremony and film screenings, aiming to provide a platform for directors in Egypt and the Arab world.

About Before We Heal:
Saleem and Raya meet at Raya's place. Saleem enters the toilet and somehow gets stuck. Between the inside and the outside, trials and disappointments, laughter and hope, memories and screams, are all being shared at the doorstep.

Written and directed by Nadim Hobeika, Before We Heal stars Yumna Marwan, Mohammad Bsat and Elie Njeim. The film's crew includes Cinematographer Céline Layous, Editor Nathalie Rbeiz, and Composer Jean Nassif. The film is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions. It won a Special Mention from the 2nd Beirut International Women Film Festival (BWFF) jury members. It also screened at many international festivals including; the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), Carthage Film Festival (JCC), and landed its premiere in Aegean Film Festival in Greece, and Malmo Arab Film Festival (MAFF)

About The Band:
The film tells the story of Hulm Band that is made up of six musicians who are playing Sufi music in Iraq. They only face one dilemma, which lies in the fact that they can get murdered for playing music in their city, Sadr, where music is forbidden. In 67 minutes, the film follows the band members as they open up to the film’s director, Albaqer Jafeer, on their dreams, aspirations, and the reality
Written and directed by Albaqer Jafeer, The Band is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions. It also won three international awards, including the Arab World Institute's Best Feature Documentary Film Award at the Festival des Cinémas Arabes in Paris, the Karama Feather for Best Documentary Film Award at the Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Jordan, and a Special Mention at the Oran International Arabic Film Festival in Algeria. The film also screened at the Karama Beirut Human Rights Film Festival, and at Sharm El-Sheikh Asian Film Festival (SAFF), within its Long Documentary Films Competition.
