THE ANGER Wins the Best International Feature Film award at the Lebanese Independent Film Festival
THE ANGER by Maria Ivanova Z has garnered the Best International Feature Film award at the Lebanese Independent Film Festival as part of the film's screening tour. The film recently joined the San Diego Arab Film Festival in America, Yasmine Hammamet Film Festival in Tunisia, and the Beirut International Women Film Festival.
 
The plot of the film follows Ida, a young Lebanese girl, who flees her small village and her alcoholic mother in post-war Lebanon and goes to the big city. There, she starts dating a European man not knowing what is in store for her.
 
THE ANGER previously landed its world premiere at Carthage Film Festival (JCC). It is directed by Maria Ivanova Z., who co-wrote it with Olga Artemyeva, and stars Manal Issa, Aurélien Chaussade, Houssam Sabbah, and Julia Kassar. MAD Solutions handles the film’s distribution in the Arab region and worldwide.
 
Maria Ivanova Z is a director, screenwriter and producer with over 16 years of experience in the film industry. She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University. She is the CEO of the Scoop Production film company. Her filmography includes over 100 award-winning documentaries that took part in prestigious international film festivals reaping awards.
