Studio ZAT Holds Reception for Filmmakers Within Panorama of The European Film
Studio ZAT, in collaboration with Misr International Films and Zawya, organized a joint reception during the Panorama of The European Film on Saturday, 5 November, to introduce the studio's role in enhancing cinematic skills through workshops offered throughout the year.
The reception was attended by numerous filmmakers, including screenwriter Mariam Naoum, Film Analyst and CEO of MAD Solutions Alaa Karkouti, Producer Saliee Waly, Director Mohammed Hammad, Producer Khloud Said, and Scottish theater acting coach Laurance Rudic, along with the guests of the Panorama of The European Film.
Recently, Studio ZAT has witnessed extensive activities through its November workshops. A Dance Improvisation Workshop was launched on November 10th, led by British choreographer Zosia Jo, in addition to the Devised Theater Workshop led by Canadian writer and director Coleen MacPherson that began on November 14th.
The studio is currently preparing to launch the biggest acting workshop for professionals and amateurs next December. Six trainees will collaborate on this workshop, including Shady Khalaf, Luke Lehner, Laurance Rudic, Ahmed Mokhtar, Mohamed Osman, Florence Moutin to offer a five-month long workshop to help amateurs become professional actors.
Studio ZAT aims to offer specialized workshops for amateur and professional actors to advance their craft. Participants are taught by Egyptian and foreign trainers within a suitable environment. The studio also offers an acting workshop, which includes special training concerning cameras, theatre, filmmaking for beginners, theatre direction, body dynamics, scriptwriting, as well as acting workshops for children to bring out their creativity and enhance their communication and storytelling skills.
