Star Ahmed Malek among the Stars of Tomorrow at the Dubai International Film Festival
Screen International announced selecting prominent star Ahmed Malek to be among the five promising Arab stars and filmmakers in the Stars of Tomorrow programme (Arab Stars of Tomorrow) within the activities of the 14th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) (6-13 December).
Fourteen years ago, the Stars of Tomorrow was launched in the UK and it has a record of discovering British and Irish talents such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Emily Blunt, and James McAvoy in the programme's first edition in 2004. For the second year in a row, the Stars of Tomorrow programme is taking part of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) in collaboration with Screen International.
To be held on Thursday, December 7th, Malek will take part in the celebration of the Stars of Tomorrow programme, and a panel discussion on Saturday, December 9th. The programme is dedicated to providing a global platform to announce promising Arab actors and directors who are expected to have a great impact in the festival and the international arena in the coming years.
The Stars of Tomorrow programme will be featured in an article in Screen Daily magazine, which will be distributed to thousands of visitors to the festival, in addition to the weekly printed version of Screen Weekly, as well as on its website,

Sheikh Jackson film, which features Malek, is currently showing in Egyptian theatres. The film is selected to be Egypt's official submission to the Academy Awards for Best Foreign-Language Film. Most recently, the board of the Shnit Worldwide Short Film Festival has selected Ahmed Malek as a jury member of the Realtime Competition. Currently, Malek is shooting his scenes in the new crime/mystery film Eyar Nary.
