Nejib Kthiri’s TRINOU enjoys a full-house screening at Cairo International Film Festival
TRINOU by Nejib Kthiri had a successful Arab world premiere at the 44th Cairo International Film Festival’s (CIFF) Short Film Competition

The film had three full-house screenings, the first of which was followed by an informative Q&A with the director.

Previously, the film was featured at the LA Shorts International Film Festival in the US, International Documentary and Short Film Festival (DokuFest) in Kosovo, and the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand – a qualifying festival for the Oscars.

“I loved the feedback I received… I wasn’t expecting the audience’s love and passion, especially for the short film program. Everyone had a distinct point of view about the film,” Kthiri commented.

TRINOU follows Omar – a young boy that escapes his failing body and secluded life by traveling in dreams he created from magazines his mother gives him.

When his stepfather urges his wife to change her approach towards her son and stop giving him magazines, both mother and son take an important and life-changing step.

TRINOU was written and directed by Nejib Kthiri, and stars Max Pemberton, Mohamed Grayaa, Kaouther Dhaouedi, and Eleanor Crowe

The film is co-produced by Seventh Age Pictures Limited, SVP Tunisia, and London Film & TV and is distributed worldwide by MAD Solutions.
