Muayad Alayan's A HOUSE IN JERUSALEM is set to captivate audiences at the prestigious 2023 Cairo International Film Festival, which runs from November 15th to November 24th, where it will hold its Arab premiere at Midnight screenings section.

Meanwhile, MAD Solutions has released the film's new official poster for A HOUSE IN JERUSALEM exclusively for the MENA region, which mesmerizingly captures the essence of the film, featuring the captivating image of the protagonist—a young girl—gazing intently at her own reflection in a shattered mirror. In a stunning visual portrayal, the fragments of glass from the broken mirror appear to be hurtling towards her, creating a sense of intrigue and anticipation.

Directed by Muayad Alayan, who also co-wrote the script with Rami Alayan, A HOUSE IN JERUSALEM held its world premiere at the 2023 International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and was featured in several prestigious festivals worldwide, including Boston Palestine Film Festival and Seattle International Film Festival in the US, as well as Mostra de Valencia—Cinema del Mediterrani in Spain, Athens Palestine Film Festival in Greece, and Palestinian Film Festival in Australia

Starring Johnny Harris, Makran Khoury, Souad Feres, Miley Locke, and Sheherazade Makhoul Farrell, A HOUSE IN JERUSALEM follows the story of young Rebecca who is forced to move with her father from the UK to Jerusalem in the hopes that a new beginning can help her heal from her mother's sudden death.

Soon after settling into an old house in a neighborhood known as the Valley of the Ghosts, a series of mysterious events occur that Rebecca takes the blame for. Diving deep into the mystery of the house and the mystical city of Jerusalem, Rebecca sets out on an enigmatic journey to discover what hides in the shadows of the house.

A HOUSE IN JERUSALEM was the only Arab project selected for the 36th edition of the IFFR Pro's Production market.

The film was co-produced by PalCine Productions in Palestine, Wellington Films in the UK, Red Balloon Films in Germany, Metafora Production in Qatar, and Key Film. Meanwhile, MAD Solutions is managing the distribution of the film in the Arab world.

Muayad Alayan’s directorial debut was LOVE, THEFT, AND OTHER ENTANGLEMENTS, which he also produced. The film held its premiere in the Panorama section of the 2015 Berlin International Film Festival.
