Mohamed Fawi’s BUZZ off to a good start at Cairo International Film Festival
Mohamed Fawi’s BUZZ had a remarkable world premiere at the 44th Cairo International Film Festival’s Short Film Competition
The film had three full-house screenings, the first of which was followed by a successful Q&A with the director.
“It was a great honor to have my film’s world premiere at such a prominent festival. I was overwhelmed by intense feelings of joy because of the positive feedback and reviews the film has received,” Fawi commented.
“I really enjoyed having a discussion with such an informed audience. I was elated because of the Sudanese audience’s presence, who filled Ewart Hall and represented the community in Cairo, which is the largest in Egypt,” he added.
Also, the film is set to compete in the fourth Cairo Shorts Film Festival’s official competition.
