MAD Solutions, the leading Arab film distributor, closed out a spectacular run at the seventh edition of the Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film, securing six prestigious awards across feature and short film categories. Building on its initial showcase of standout library gems, the company’s distribution slate dominated the festival's closing awards ceremony.
 
Leading the wins was Zamo Mkhwanazi’s LAUNDRY, a compelling South African-Swiss co-production that world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and swept the Non-Arab Feature Film competition at AIFF by claiming both the Black Iris Award for Best Non-Arab Feature Film and the Audience Award for Best Non-Arab Feature Film.
 
Set in 1968 under apartheid South Africa, this coming-of-age musical drama follows a young man torn between his dream of becoming a jazz musician and saving his family's business.
 
In the Arab Feature competition, Egypt’s workplace thriller THE SETTLEMENT earned Mohamed Rashad the award for Best First-Time Scriptwriter for a Feature Film. The film, which previously premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, continues its celebrated run across international platforms.
 
Tunisian feature WHERE THE WIND COMES FROM, directed by Amel Guellaty, celebrated another major victory as Eya Bellaga took home Best First-Time Lead Actress for her performance as Alyssa, a young woman embarking on a transformative road trip across southern Tunisia.
 
MAD Solutions’ short film lineup also achieved notable recognition at the closing ceremony:
●     AMBUSH was awarded Best Jordanian Short Film, spotlighting top-tier local storytelling.
 
●     AICHA secured the Jury Award for Arab Short Film, adding another regional triumph to the distributor's slate.
