MAD Solutions acquires Berlinale award winner LES CHENILLES
MAD Solutions recently acquired the Arab world distribution rights to Michelle and Noel Keserwany’s Lebanese short LES CHENILLES — a laureate of the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival that was described by Film Verdict as a “complex and energizing film worthy of an award.”
The film is also nominated for Best Short Film at the European Film Academy Awards, received the Jury Award at the Malmö Arab Film Festival, won an Audience Award at the Champs-Elysees Film Festival, and screened at several prestigious international film festivals, including the Format Court Festival, Lichter Filmfest, Golden Harvest Film Festival, Diaspora Film Festival, Kurzfilm Festival, Champs-Elysees Film Festival, and the Golden Ger International Film Festival.
LES CHENILLES follows two female waitresses from the Levant who live in exile in France and tentatively become friends. In the midst of their forced migration, can they move past their animosity to find solace in one another?
Written and directed by Michelle Keserwany, LES CHENILLES stars Noel Keserwany — who also co-directed it — and Masa Zaher; is produced by Biennale de Lyon, Dewberries Film, and Marine Vaillant; and is lensed by Karim Ghorayeb. Meanwhile, MAD Solutions is handling its distribution in the Arab world and Italy-based Lights On is acting as its international sales agent.
