MAD Solutions Acquires Arab World Distribution Rights to Neighbors & A Tale Of Love And Desire
MAD Solutions has acquired the Arab distribution rights to two new films that have been to the 2021’s most prestigious film festivals. These films are A Tale Of Love And Desire by director Laila Bouzaid, and Neighbors by Mano Khalil. This comes as a new addition to the list of 50 films that MAD Solutions has announced the acquisition of at the beginning of this year.

A Tale Of Love And Desire has landed its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival, within the International Critics' Week, receiving a wide audience acclaim, while Neighbors world premiered at the Shanghai International Film Festival, and screened at the Locarno’s Panorama Suisse section.

It’s worth mentioning that MAD Solutions has also participated in the Locarno Festival, with two films from its distribution list: The Alleys by writer and director Bassel Ghandour, which landed its world premiere at the iconic Piazza Grande, and Streams by Mehdi Hmili, which screened within the Filmmakers of the Present (Concorso Cineasti del Presente).

About Neighbors:

A small village on the Syrian-Turkish border in the early 1980s, during the rule of Hafez al-Assad: a six-year-old Kurdish boy, Sero, experiences his first year in an Arabic school and must deal with how his small world is radically changing through absurd nationalism.

Written and directed by Mano Khalil, Neighbors stars Serhed Khalil, Jalal Altawil, Jay Abdo, and Samer al-Masry.

About A Tale Of Love And Desire:

Ahmed, French teenager of Algerian origin, meets Farah, a young Tunisian girl, and falls head over heels in love with her. While discovering a collection of sensual and erotic Arab literature, Ahmed tries to resist his desire towards Farah. Written and directed by Laila Bouzaid, the film stars Zbeida Belhajamor and Sami Outalbali.

MAD Solutions handles the two films’ sales and distribution across the Arab World.
