Khaled El Nabawy a Panelist at Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts

Actor Khaled El Nabawy will moderate a panel titled 'A Conversation with Khaled El Nabawi' at the 16thIsmailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts. Kamal Abdel Aziz, the Festival President and Director of the National Cinema Center, and the Festival Director Mohamed Hefzy, who is also a Scriptwriter and Producer, have announced that the Panel will be held on Thursday June 6th at 03:00 pm in Renaissance cinemas.
Khaled El Nabawy will also participate in the festival through the short film 'Odd', which is part of the Short Films Competition. El Nabawy plays the role of Adel Eskandar, an Egyptian Christian who suffers from his Muslim neighbors. It is directed by Karim El Shenawy and co-written by Karim El Shenawy andHaitham Dabour. Odd co-stars Khaled Bahgat and Sayyed Ragab.
Opening on June 4th, the festival is one of the major film festivals in the Arab world, and the first in the region to be exclusively dedicated to documentaries and shorts. First launched in 1988, the festival has provided local and international documentary filmmakers with the opportunity to showcase their works. In addition to the exclusive dedication to documentaries and shorts, the festival held sections for experimental films and animations in the previous editions.
Ismailia city has hosted the festival for fifteen years and it's considered one of the most beautiful Egyptian cities in Egypt. The quiet city is situated on the coast of Suez Canal which links between the Red and Mediterranean seas to be functioning as a link between civilizations, exactly the same as the Suez Canal, for nearly 150 years.
