Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa Tops US Box Office with US$32 Million

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa opened strong in the US earning US$32 million in its first weekend in release, landing at number one in the American box office. This is the second biggest opening for a Jackass movie, coming second to Jackass 3-D. Bad Grandpa is the fourth film in the hit comedy franchise, following Jackass: The Movie, Jackass: Number Two and Jackass 3-D, which have collectively earned US$335 million worldwide.
86 year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with the most unlikely companion, his 8 year-old Grandson Billy in "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa". This October, the signature Jackass character Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicholl) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera.
Along the way Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter male strippers, disgruntled child beauty pageant contestants (and their equally disgruntled mothers), funeral home mourners, biker bar patrons and a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens.
Jackass started as a reality television show on MTV in 2000. The show spun multiple spinoff TV shows and movies. It also shot its main cast & crew to stardom include Johnny Knoxville who pursued a career in acting following the shows run.
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa is directed by Jeff Tremaine and written by Knoxville, Termaine, Adam Small, Fax Bahr and Academy Award nominee Spike Jonze. The film will be released in Egypt by Four Star Films, the distributor of Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures films in Egypt.
