Horror featurette BUILDING 13 to world premiere at the Halaloween Muslim Horror Film Festival
BUILDING 13, a frightful featurette by Meshal Almutairi, is set to world premiere at the Arab American National Museum in the US, as part of the aptly named Halaloween Muslim Horror Film Festival program.

Driven by a love for horror and a thirst for adventure, 24-year-old Safwan ignores a warning and explores the infamous ‘Building 13’ at his university. Once inside, he finds himself trapped and tormented by a supernatural entity that communicates through cryptic messages. To escape his newly-found purgatory, Safwan must solve each chilling riddle.

This short horror film boasts an all Arab cast and crew, produced by Fahad Alamri, written by Yazeed Alshareef, lensed by Abdulmalik Alqarni, and sound engineered by Qublan Alqarni. It stars Amr Gari alongside Abdullah Alsaggaf.

Speaking on his spooky short, Meshal said, “Working on this little film was really fun. I stumbled upon this abandoned building that immediately drew me in. It was scary! I told my friend Fahad, enlisted Yazeed's help to write a script, and next thing I knew, we were making a movie.”

Meshal Almutairi is an up-and-coming 23-year-old director and video editor from Saudi Arabia. Having graduated from the King Abdulaziz University, Meshal has worked on numerous short film projects and was nominated for a city-wide filmmaking prize in Jeddah.
