Hend Sabry in a Press Conference on School Meals Programme in Upper Egypt
Tunisian film star Hend Sabry participated on Sunday, November 17th, 2013, in a press conference where the UN World Food Programme signed a partnership agreement with Vodafone Egypt Foundation to support School Meals Programme in the Upper Egypt region.

As the UN World Food Programme Ambassador against Hunger, Hend Sabry participated in the press conference which was held under the patronage of Ahmed El-Borai, Minister of Social Solidarity in Egypt. On the programme, Hend Sabry stated,"it's always extremely rewarding to see a positive , constructive, global project like school feeding having an impact on a huge number of children, and giving them access to education; thanks to the sense of responsibility of Vodafone Foundation and the help of the government".

Vodafone Egypt Foundation contributed a USD1 million, which will benefit around 65,000 people, providing school meals and monthly food rations to school children and their families as well as training for 300 teachers on nutrition awareness activities. The project covers 800 schools in the poorest and most remote areas of Sohag, Assiut, Al-Fayyum and Beni Suef governorates.

Hend Sabry was included in the CEO Middle East magazine's list of the World's Top 100 Most Powerful Arab Women in 2013. The list included a number of prominent Arab women who have many regional and international achievements in different fields such as politics, culture and social development.
