At the time her official Facebook page exceeds 1 million likes,Tunisian superstar Hend Sabry is named the Best Actress in the Middle East at Dear Guest Festival (DG Festival). Marking a prestigious annual event, DG Festival grants awards to the best of the year in cinema, TV drama, radio, music and other entertainment fields. Sabry's strong performance in El Gezira2 was the main reason behind receiving this prize.The film has previously received 6 awards including the Best Film award at several film events.

This award is the second in Sabry's career as the Tunisian actress has previously received the same award in 2012 for her remarkable performance in Asmaa.

First launched in 2004, DG Festival chooses the winners using a voting where people vote for their favorite candidates. From June till October each year, the voting is held via the company's website, hard copy questionnaires and video voting. After the winners list is revealed, DG Company organizes an award ceremony for handing the prizes.

A few days ago, Hend Sabry was crowned as Sayidaty magazine's Best Female Comedian in Egyptand received a Certificate of Appreciation for her role in the social comedy 'Embratoryat Meen?'. Hend ranked #1 as per the votes received on the magazine's official website and through SMS messages. The public poll is conducted by Sayidaty to evaluate the TV drama in Ramadan 2014.
