Hend Sabry Joins the International March against Terrorism in Tunisia
In a message expressing her solidarity with her homeland, Tunisian actress Hend Sabry joined the international march against terrorism in Tunisia on Sunday, March 29th, 2915. The anti-terrorism march has been called for by Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi in response to the terrorist attack took place on March 19th, 2015. in the National Bardo Museum, which led to the demise of 23 people. The international march witnessed massive participation of the world's leaders and foreign politicians as well as Tunisian citizens from all sects and international activists.

In a furious statement during the march, Hend Sabry said, "What happened in Tunisia is an absolute inhumane and barbaric act. I hope that Tunisia and the rest of the Arab world would put an end to terrorism. We should all unite to fight against terrorism. We are here now, as artists and Tunisian citizens, to strongly convey this message to the world."

Hend has recently participated at the commemoration of the 59th anniversary of independence from France reception held in the Tunisian embassy in Cairo. The event was attended by Tunisian Ambassador Mahmoud Khmer and several key figures and celebrities from the Tunisian community in Egypt, and Arab diplomatic delegations to Cairo. The reception also featured the presence of ambassadors of Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Palestine, and Arab League Secretary- General Dr. Nabil Elaraby, in addition to Mervat Tallawy President of the National Council for Women. Deeply affected by the brutal act that took place earlier on the same day, the event was turned into an active platform to denounce terrorism and support Tunisian community.

A devoted Tunisian, Sabry is keen on participating in Tunisia's national celebrations and taking part in political events such as voting in the Tunisian elections that took place on December 21st, 2014. She voted in the runoff voting of the presidential elections at the Tunisian embassy in Cairo.
