The Arab World’s first cosmic horror title, AKH, is enjoying the cinematic equivalent of an encore in Kuwaiti cinemas, extending for a third week at audiences' behest after selling out one theater after the next.
Since its astonishingly successful premiere, AKH has been performing admirably in the country’s cinemascape, ranking fourth in the country’s box office upon release.
The story follows Shihab — a hustling, jaded taxi driver — and Suhail, his wheel-chair-bound brother.
When an evening trip to the desert goes awry, the two brothers discover that things in the world aren't always what they seem to be, and their brotherly bond is put to the ultimate test.
Directed by AlDeen, AKH is penned by Ahmad M. Hamada, lensed by Mishary Al-Khawalid, and edited by Abbas Saeed, with MAD World and MAD Distribution handling the film’s distribution worldwide and within the MENA region, respectively. The film stars Hussain Al Haddad, Mohammed Noman, Jamal Al Radhan, Eman Al Hussainy, and Jassim Al Nabhan.
AKH is currently screening daily at the following Kuwaiti theaters:
- Cinescape 360 8:50 pm
- Cinescape Avenues at 7:45 pm
- Warehouse at 6:35 pm
