Harag W' Marag Returns to Egyptian Theatres for Two Weeks at Zawya
After a successful festival tour reaping several awards and accolades, Nadine Khan's
Harag W' Marag film returns to screen in theatres through Zawya cinema. Produced by Wika for Film Production and Distribution, the film will screen in Odeon cinema, Downtown starting Wednesday, February 4th, 2015, for two weeks.

A social drama, the film is the story of lost love in a controversial setting; Zaki (Farrag), Mounir (Lehner) and Manal (Ayten Amer) are in their twenties, and living in a confined community where basic needs are met yet chaos and disorder brew. The two boys are in love with the same girl who finds herself the subject of a bet for a football match between them, the winner marries Manal. This story reflects a football and play-station youth and how they deal with their emotions in a community that is increasingly closed off and isolated.

Marking Nadine Khan's feature directorial debut, Harag W' Marag is produced and edited by Dina Farouk. The film is written by Khan, with a script by Mohamed Nasser and stars Ayten Amer, Mohamed Farrag Ramsi Lehner, Hani El Metnawi, Osama Atiya, Sabry Abdel Monem and Sayed Ragab.

Harag W' Marag has taken part in several global film festivals and received numerous awards including a Special Jury Award from Dubai International Film Festival, which hosted its world premiere. The film earned its director Nadine Khan the Golden Dagger award for Best Director from Muscat International Film Festival and won the Grand Prix from the Arab Film Festival of Oran. Harag W' Marag also received the Best Film award, Best Screenplay award for Mohamed Nasser and Best Editing for Dina Farouk from the 62nd Egyptian Catholic Center Cinema Festival. Nadine Khan's feature also received the Sami El- Salamoni Award for Innovation and Creativity from the Egyptian Film Association Festival.
