Half Revolution in London by July and participates in East Endand Sheffield Film Festivals
half Revolution is continuing its international and regional success in festivals in the next couple of months. The documentary will participate in a number of festivals in Great Britain, it will took part in Maysles BrothersCompetition at the Belfast Film Festival in Northern Ireland , the film will also screen twice in Sheffield Doc/Fest, in addition to getting screened on the 4th of July in Barbican Theatre in London during East End Film Festival.
The documentary was recently selected to be part of Silverdocs in the US which is organised by DiscoveryChannel and the American Film Institute, it is also taking part in Democracine Festival in Brazil. half Revolutioncontinues its success in the Arab world getting selected to be part of the 15th Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentary & Short Films in the Revolution as Seen by the Other section.
Directed by Omar Shargawi and Karim El Hakim, the documentary is the first that considers the 25th of January Revolution an incomplete one, which aligns with the current political situation of Egypt and the calls for the completion of the revolution and the fulfilment of its demands.
In addition to its success in film festivals worldwide, ½ Revolution is making its way towards audiences, getting released in Nordic countries on iTunes, the digital download giant. The documentary was also acquired by US digital distribution outlet Focus World, part of Focus Features, for digital distribution in America.
Since its premiere in Dubai International Film Festival, ½ Revolution has screened in over 15 film festivals world wide including Sundance Film Festival in the United States, the 8th Al Jazeera InternationalDocumentary Film Festival where it won the prestigious Gold Award for best film, the 8th Rencontres del'image Film Festival in Cairo. It took part in Trondheim International Film Festival in Norway, RioDocumentary Film Festival in Brazil, Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival in Greece,Gothenburg Film Festival in Sweden and True/False Film Festival in Missouri.
