Screenings of GHOST TRAIL by Jonathan Millet and SUDAN, REMEMBER US, Hind Meddeb will continue for a second week at Zawya Cinema in Cairo due to high public demand and sold-out sessions.
 
GHOST TRAIL is based on the true story of a secret group that hunted down the regime’s fugitive leaders. The film starts off in Syria and follows Hamid, who joins a secret group tracking Syrian regime leaders on the run. His mission takes him to France, pursuing his former torturer for a fateful confrontation.

A joint production between France and Syria, GHOST TRAIL stars acclaimed French Tunisian actor Adam Bessa, known for Netflix’s EXTRACTION and EXTRACTION 2, and winner of the Best Actor Award at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard for HARKA, as well as Tawfeek Barhom, and Julia Franz Richter.
 
Directed and co-written by Millet alongside Florence Rochat, GHOST TRAIL was lensed by Olivier Boonjing, edited by Laurent Sénéchal, and produced by Pauline Seigland and Philippe Logie. In terms of the bigger companies at play, the film was produced by Films Grand Huit, Nikofilms, and Hélicotronc, while MK2 handles the film’s World sales and MAD Solutions handles its Arab World sales.
 
SUDAN, REMEMBER US, directed by the award-winning filmmaker Hind Meddeb, is a poignant French-Tunisian co-production that offers a collective portrait of a generation fighting for freedom through words, poems, and chants.
 
The documentary follows five young Sudanese political activists as they struggle to overthrow the country's military regime in the tumultuous years leading up to the Sudanese Civil War and their subsequent exile.

SUDAN, REMEMBER US is produced by Abel Nahmias of Echo Films, Blue Train Films' Michel Zana and Alice Ormières, and My Way's Tao Guiga. The film is edited by Gladys Joujou, known for her work on acclaimed projects like THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK, ALEXANDER, and BYE BYE TIBERIAS. Paris-based Dulac Distribution is handling the worldwide sales for this captivating documentary, while MAD Distribution is in charge of its distribution in the MENA region.
 
Hind Meddeb is a French-Tunisian-Moroccan journalist and documentary film director who wrote and co-directed DE CASA AU PARADIS, ELECTRO CHAABI, and PARIS STALINGRAD, which won her the World Cinema Award for Best International Director at the Documentary Edge Festival.
