At these meetings, they will not present a specific film project, but are ready for an exchange on a structural, company level.
About being chosen to join the Company Matching Program, Hefzy said, "It's a privilege to represent Arab producers and to be selected among some of the finest and most dynamic production companies of Europe, North and South America. My aim in this market is not to pitch a project or even a slate, but rather to create synergies and develop areas and models of co-production and co-development for the future".
For the tenth Berlinale Co-Production Market, 38 new feature-film projects and seven internationally renowned production companies have been selected to meet in Berlin with 450 potential co-production and financing partners.
The official selection for the Berlinale Co-Production Market 2013 includes 20 exciting new international fictional film projects, chosen from 318 entries, for potential co-production and financing partners to explore. These projects will be presented by their experienced producers, who have already secured at least 30% of the financing in place. All of the projects have budgets between one and 13 million euros.
