Film Clinic Collaborates with Fortress Capital Investments and Establishes a New Production Company in the Gulf Region
After many successful Egyptian film productions over the last decade, Film Clinic has announced its collaboration with Fortress Capital Investments in Dubai to establish an Emirati production company named Fortress Film Clinic. The announcement was made at this year's Cannes Film Festival, which will continue until 24 May 2015.
Fortress Film Clinic was established in Dubai at the beginning of 2015 and will now collaborate with other production companies to produce, develop, and distribute film and TV projects in the Arab and international markets. It will also venture into various media projects and assets that will be revealed in due time.
Producer and scriptwriter Mohamed Hefzy stated, "After ten amazing years based only in Egypt, Film Clinic could not have found a better or more suitable partner than Fortress to expand into the region. Not only do they bring the financial muscle needed to accelerate and sustain growth, but they also happen to love film and believe in our common mission of empowering new talent."
Hamed Mokhtar, Managing Partner of Fortress Capital Investments, expressed his excitement for this new collaboration by saying, "I'm absolutely thrilled about our new venture into Media via our newly formed partnership with Film Clinic. The vision we have is shared and that is to create a Middle Eastern Studio and Production powerhouse focused on developing new talent, quality production and strong distribution throughout the Pan Arab region and beyond."
Fortress Capital Investments is currently working on several film and TV projects, including two Palestinian films: Arab Idol and Catch the Moon, an Egyptian film: Eshtebak (Clash), and two Egyptian TV shows that will be revealed soon, along with several other projects that will be announced later on this year.
