Factory Girl Revenues Increase by 33% in Its Second Week in Egyptian Theatres
As per the latest press releases issued by MAD Solutions, the company serving as Factory Girl's distributor regionally and globally, Factory Girl by renowned Director Mohamed Khan continues its successful march in the Egyptian theatres reaping more than LE 400,000 in its second week, recording an increase in the revenues by 33%, smashing its earnings during its first week of screening.

Thus Factory Girl's revenues collectively reached LE 700,000 being screened in 19 theatres across three governorates, coming first in many cinema complexes where it screens. MAD Solutions revealed that the film screened yesterday, Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014, in Donia Cinema, Ismailia, and will launch today in Oman on two screens. This comes a week after the film's release in 19 theatres across four Arab countries, achieving LE 1 million revenues collectively, up till now.

As part of MAD Solutions marketing strategy for the film, Factory Girl's director, Mohamed Khan and the film's star Yasmin Raeis will show up together tomorrow, Friday, April 2nd, 2014, in a tour across the Egyptian theaters screening the film including Galaxy Cinema in El Manial at 06:00 pm then at 09:00 pm in City Stars Cinema in Nasr City.

Directed by great Mohamed Khan, and written by Wessam Soliman, Factory Girl is produced by Mohamed Samir's DayDream Art Production. The film tells the story of Hiyam, a young factory worker, lives in a lower-middle-class neighborhood, along with her co-workers. She is clearly under the spell of Salah, the factory's new supervisor, who has expressed his admiration for her. She believes love can transcend the class differences between them. However, when a pregnancy test is discovered in the factory premises, her immediate family and close friends accuse her of sinning. Hiyam decides not to defend herself and pays an enormous price in a society that fails to accept independent women. Factory Girl examines the changes that take place in her life over the four seasons of the year. From falling in love to facing heartbreak, her life comes around full circle by the end of the year.
