The eagerly anticipated film is scheduled for Monday, March 18th at 8 pm, promising to captivate audiences with its evocative storytelling and powerful performances.

FORSAKEN follows the captivating journey of Meriem — a 30-year-old woman who embarks on a vacation only to stumble upon the lifeless body of a Sub-Saharan African man right in front of her balcony. Upon discovering the victim's identity, Meriem is faced with a conundrum.
The film sheds light on the discrimination faced by Sub-Saharan immigrants in Tunisia, exploring the complex dynamics between North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Written and directed by the talented Aziz Shennawy, who’s known for his award-winning film KORRINTY — which received the Award of Merit at the Global Shorts in Los Angeles — the film is headlined by Tunisian superstar Kmar Ben Soltane, who is renowned for her outstanding performances in Emna Najjar's WALTZ OF THE DAWN and the highly successful 2018 Ramadan series CHOUERREB 1.

Creating a visually stunning experience, FORSAKEN is shot by cinematographer Hatem Nechi, who is celebrated for his work on Tunisia's first horror movie DACHRA, and is produced by Tarek Marouani under the prestigious banner of Genuine for Films and Entertainment, with MAD Solutions handling distribution worldwide.

Director Aziz Shennawy's dedication to his craft is evident in his extensive educational background and global acclaim. He gained international recognition for his award-winning short film KORRINTY, which was produced by Hypnos Pictures.

Currently, Aziz is in the midst of preparations for his debut feature-length film, which is scheduled for production in 2024 and will be made in partnership with Genuine for Films and Entertainment.
