Egyptian star Engy Wegdan has begun filming her scenes in the upcoming feature film Malika. Written and Directed by Ahmed Essam Lalla, Wegdan plays the role of Sarah, Malika's best friend, who supports her friend in the face of hardships.

The film traces the story of Malika, a radio show producer, who encourages independent up and coming musical bands to create their best work. She runs into a few challenges and obstacles, and finds no one to support her but her best friend Sarah.

Malika stars Samia Asaad, Engy Wegdan, Stage director and actor Mahmoud El Lozy, Ahmed El Shaer, and Mohamed Sarhan.
