Engy Wegdan: Health First, Perfect Body Next
Engy Wegdan took part in the social science conference organized by the World Obesity Federation at the Intercontinental Semiramis Hotel in Cairo on Sunday, 11 October, which coincides with World Obesity Day. During the conference, Engy gave a speech recouting her experience with weight loss and gain and gave advice to those who are suffering from obesity.

Engy stated that she has a long history with weight gain and loss, pointing out that she played water ballet during preparatory school, which required 10 kilos less that the normal weight. Thus, she began her struggle with weight problems.

Engy also added, "The conclusion I've reached during my weight struggle is that it is more important to retain your health by eating healthy food and exercising regularly, only then weight will not become an obstacle as long as the body is active and can perform daily duties efficiently. Then body shape can be taken into consideration." Engy ended her speech by advising men and women on the importance of loving their bodies just as they are and taking care of their health before anything else.

In addition to Engy, the conference was attended by the great actress Ragaa El Geddawy, alongside numerous doctors, media persons, and people who suffer from obesity who have also spoken on related topics, such as how to decrease, prevent, and treat morbid obesity for different age groups, and the health and psychological problems related to it.
