As part of the 8th of Abu Dhabi Film Festival (ADFF), running from October 23rd to
November 1st, 2014, Egyptian Scriptwriter and Producer Mohamed Hefzy joins two panel discussions within ADFF Talks Film programme.

Marking an annual component of ADFF, the programme provides accredited professionals and the public access to a line-up of panel discussions highlighting vital topics related to Arab cinema and the global film industry. It also organizes specialized sessions moderated by filmmaking pioneers and features personal interviews with professionals and film talents.

The first panel discussion featured Hefzy, along with A to B helmers, who shed light on the different stages of filmmaking ranging from the development phase to the post-production phase, bringing light on the requirements of domestic co-productions with a reference to
A to B as a successful example.

In this panel, Hefzy reflected that A to B started in 2012 as a result of 7 or 8 drafted scripts. He further remarked on the film's core message saying, "The film is not a mere comedy, but also draws distinctive lines for each of its characters. A to B is a journey beset by obstacles and questions imposed by the characters on themselves. Their friendship is highlighted through the situations they experience and the adventures they embark on through the journey. All of these elements add to the film's enticing essence."

Held Sunday, 26th of October, 2014, the second panel discussion featured Hefzy along with an array of leading film professionals from across the region in a debate on how to take Arabic films into global markets; highlighting the styles of acting and their effect on films. Most recently theories have been indicating that acting styles used in local films do not appeal to the international audience and sales entities, affecting the presence of Arabic films worldwide.

Hefzy described Jordanian feature Theeb, by Naji Abu Nowar, as one of the most successful Arabic films on both local and international levels due to its spontaneity and reliance on young promising acting talents.

A to B is written by Scriptwriter and Producer Mohamed Hefzy, with contribution from Ashraf Hamdy and Ronnie Khalil. The film is produced by Paul Bboudjian, Mohamed Hefzy and Ali Mostafa, with the support of twofour54, Abu Dhabi, and Image Nation Abu Dhabi.

Young Egyptian comedian Shadi Alfons, best known for his participation in Bassem Youssef's Al Bernameg, is part of the new feature A to B, opposite of Yousra El Louzy and Saudi stand-up comedian Fahd Albutairi. Set to entertain audiences in the Arab world and beyond, A to B presents three young Arab expats who undertake a road trip from their hometown, Abu Dhabi, to Beirut in memory of their best friend. Their plan to cover 2,500 kilometers over three days is beset with obstacles and funny moments as they travel across the region.

Hefzy's most recent writing effort, before working on A to B, is 45 Days in 2007. Since then, he hasn't stopped writing, however, he got carried away by producing remarkable films such as Zai El Naharda, Samir wa Shahir wa Bahir, Microphone, Rags and Tatters and Villa 69.
