Edgar Wright brings Stephen King’s THE RUNNING MAN to the big screen, released in cinemas on November 12th
Four Star Films is thrilled to announce that the high-octane action thriller THE RUNNING MAN was released in cinemas across Egypt on November 12th. Directed by Edgar Wright, the film delivers a gripping and emotional story about survival, defiance, and the fight for freedom in a world where entertainment has turned deadly.
 
Based on the acclaimed novel by Stephen King, THE RUNNING MAN takes audiences into a near-future society where the most popular show on television is also the most dangerous. Contestants, known as ‘Runners,’ must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast live to millions of viewers hungry for blood and spectacle.
 
The story follows Ben Richards, played by Glen Powell, a desperate father willing to risk everything to save his sick daughter. When the show’s charming but ruthless producer Dan Killian, played by Josh Brolin, convinces him to join the deadly game, Ben quickly becomes a national sensation and a threat to the entire system. As the stakes rise and the nation watches his every move, Ben must outsmart the hunters and reclaim control of his life before time runs out.
 
The film features an all-star ensemble including Glen Powell (TOP GUN: MAVERICK), William H. Macy (FARGO), Lee Pace (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY), Michael Cera (SUPERBAD), Emilia Jones (CODA), Daniel Ezra (ALL AMERICAN), Jayme Lawson (THE BATMAN), Sean Hayes (WILL & GRACE), and Katy O’Brian (THE MANDALORIAN), with Colman Domingo (RUSTIN) and Josh Brolin (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN) rounding out the cast.
