Director Mai Masri's 3000 Nights Screens at AFAC Film Week in Morocco
Director Mai Masri's film 3000 Nights, recipient of 23 awards, will take part in AFAC Film Week that will open as of April 22nd and shall last for an entire week in the Moroccan city of Tangiers. The film will be screened on Thursday, April 27th at 8:00 pm at Cinémathèque de Tanger. Twelve films from across the Arab world are taking part in the event to present the films supported by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) to Arab audiences for screening and discussion in the presence of the filmmakers.
3000 Nights is a co-production between Jordan, Palestine, France, UAE, Qatar and Lebanon. MAD Solutions is in charge of the film's distribution in the Arab world. 3000 Nights tells the story of a young Palestinian school teacher who gives birth to her son in an Israeli prison, where she fights to protect him, survive and maintain hope. The film stars Maisa Abdelhadi, Nadera Omran, Raida Adon, Rakeen Saad, Abeer Haddad, Anahid Fayad, Haifa Al Agha, Khitam Edelbi and Hana Chamoun.
AFAC Film Week is held for the fourth consecutive year in the city of Tangier, Morocco, in cooperation with the Network of Arab Alternative Screens (NAAS). Ten films from the Arab world are taking part in the event in an effort to present the films supported by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) to Arab audiences for screening and discussion in the presence of the filmmakers.
