Dhafer L'Abidine Stars in a New Film Based on the TV Series Caramel
Tunisian star Dhafer L'Abidine has revealed that he will be shooting a new film based on the successful Lebanese TV series Caramel that he starred in last Ramadan. While filming his scenes in the TV series, L'Abidine stated that Caramel is one of the most enjoyable series he has worked on.
Together with L'Abidine, the filmfeatures a number of stars from the TV series such as Maguy Bou Ghosn, Talal El Jordi and Jessy Abdo. Caramel is directed by Elie F. Habib, written by Mazen Taha and produced by Eagle Films. The film tells a number of love stories with strange and interesting events.
Tunisian star Dhafer L'Abidine started shooting his scenes for the American TV series North 40. The series is based on the book The Looming Tower written by Lawrence Wright. The book, that received 15 awards and honorable mentions including the Pulitzer Prize, offers a historical look at the way through which Al-Qaeda came into being and the events that led to the September 11 attacks.
The shooting will take place between the USA and South Africa. North 40 features Alec Baldwin, Jeff Daniels and Tahar Rahim, and is produced by Hulu.
Last Ramadan, L'Abidine alsostarred in Halawat Al Dounia by Hussein El-Minabbawi, and
Caramel by Elie F. Habib, which were among the most-watched series and received wide media attention. Halawat Al Dounia stars Hend Sabry, Hanan Motawie, Anoushka and Ragaa Al-Giddawy. The TV series is directed by Hussein El-Minabbawi, written by Sama Ahmed and Engy Kassem, under the supervision of screenwriter Tamer Habib, and produced by Beelink Productions and Eagle Films.
