Before the film's commercial release in Egyptian theatres, Ahmad Abdalla's Decor receives its African and Egyptian premieres at the 36th Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF). Following this, Decor heads to Tunisia to contend at the 25th Carthage Film Festival.

Within the CIFF's Special Screenings section, the new feature Decor screens twice; on Friday, November 14th, 2014, at 08:00 pm in the Main Hall at Cairo Opera House, and on the following day at 12:00 pm at Cinema Civilization1, Cairo Opera House.

New Century Production has rolled out the official poster of the film which will be used during the film's participation at CIFF, landing its MENA Premiere. In this year's edition CIFF reclaims its position as the oldest-standing and most important film festival in the Arab world. Standing as a gateway to the Egyptian cinema, representing the most active film industry in the region, CIFF is the only festival in the MENA region accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) in Paris along with 13 other international film festivals.

On the heels of Decor's presence at the CIFF, the film vies against 14 other films from across the world within the Official Competition: Feature Films at the 25th Carthage Film Festival. Held in Tunisia, this year's installment will run through November 29th to December 6th, 2014.

Running every two years, the 25th Carthage Film Festival will feature 661 films from 48 countries across four continents.

Last October, Decor landed its World Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, which is one of the largest European festivals screening hundreds of films from around the world every year.

Filmed entirely in black and white, Decor's unconventional plot tells the story of Maha, who has always been passionate about film and who, as a set designer, has become an expert at creating imaginary worlds. Under immense pressure at work, Maha sights another life on the horizon and begins slipping between realities-one resembling the film set she's designed and the other her supposed real life. These two worlds are represented by the characters Sherif and Mustafa. As Maha grows ever more entangled in each, the border between the real and imagined becomes blurred. Maha walks a fine line between her parallel lives, and must decide for the first time what she truly desires.

Starring Khaled Abol Naga, Horeya Farghaly, and Maged El Kedwany, Decor marks Sherin Diab's screenwriting debut. Decor is co-written by Sherin with her brother Mohamed Diab and will be distributed in Egypt by Dollar Film.
