Clash Kicked Off Its Premiere with the Attendance of the Cast and Crew, Celebrities and Film Critics
Yesterday, Sunday the 24th of July, MAD Solutions held the premiere of Mohamed Diab's latest film Clash at Galaxy Cineplex Mall of Arabia in 6th of October city. The premiere was a star-studded night attended by an array of film critics, super stars and public figures, who joined the celebrations of the film's cast and crew. MAD Solutions will release Clash in Egyptian theatres on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

Among the film crew, the premiere witnessed the presence of director Mohamed Diab, screenwriter Khaled Diab, along with the film stars Nelly Karim, Tarek Abd El Aziz, Hany Adel, Ahmed Malik, Hosny Sheta, Ahmed Dash, Amr Elkady, May Elghety, Atef Ammar, Ashraf Hamdi, Mohamed Gamal Kalbaz, Mohamed Abdel Azim, Mohamed Adel, DOP Ahmed Gabr, costume designer Reem El Adl, and the producers Mohamed Hefzy and Moez Masoud.

The premiere was also attended by a large number of celebrities, filmmakers and public figures, including; Ahmad Al Fishawy, Khaled El Nabawy, Horeya Farghaly, Mohamed Farrag, Ahmed Magdy, Ibtihal El Serety, Nahed Al Sebai, Mostafa Abo Seria, Youssef Othman, and Mohamed Ghoneim; directors Mohamed Yassin, Khaled Youssef, Amr Salama, Ayten Amin, Sherif Mandour, Ahmed Medhat, Tamer Ezzat, and Karem El Adl;scriptwriters Medhat El Adl, Amr Samir Atef, and Ayman Medhat; DOP Kamal Abdel Aziz; music composer Tamer Karwan; producers Hani Osama, Mohamed El Adl, and Nahed Farid Shawky; Head of Egypt's censorship board Khaled Abdel Galil, film critic Ali Abu Shadi; TV presenters Moataz Bellah Abdel-Fattah, Mona Abdel Wahab, Khaled Telema, Akram El Sharkawy, Kholoud Nader, and the Al Mohayesoon TV show presenters; Father Boutros Daniel, satirist Hesham Mansour, and the singers Amir Eid, Zap Tharwat, and Mado.

Most of the film events take place in an 8-meter police truck, crammed with detainees representing different sects of society, their interaction with each other full of madness, violence, romance, and comedy.

Clash tackles the political unrest that prevailed in Egypt in 2013. Co-written by Khaled Diab and Mohamed Diab, who is also the director, the film is a co-production between France, Egypt, Germany, and the UAE.

The cast includes Nelly Karim, Tarek Abd El Aziz, Hany Adel, Ahmed Malek, Ashraf Hamdi, Mohamed Abdel Azim, Gamil Barsoum and others.

The film landed world premiere last May at Cannes Film Festival as it inaugurated the prestigious Un Certain Regard section. Clash marked Egypt's comeback to the festival's official selection after years of absence. The Hollywood Reporter also selected Clash as one of the 10 best films at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.

Clash is a joint production effort between Arab and European companies: Film Clinic (Egypt), Sampek Productions (France), and Acamedia Global (UAE), in association with ARTE France Cinema (France), Niko Film (Germany), Fortress Film Clinic (UAE), and Pyramide International (France). Taking part in the project are producers Moez Masoud, Mohamed Hefzy, Eric Lagesse, and it is co-produced by Nicole Gerhards, alongside executive producers Jamal Al Dabbous and Daniel Ziskind. Mohamed Diab's wife, Sarah Goher also acted as a creative collaborator on the film, earning the title "Creative Producer". The film will be distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions, while Pyramide International will distribute it in France and the rest of the world.
