Cairo Film Connection Reveals Details on the List of Its Partners and Awards
Cairo Film Connection (CFC) (24-26 November) has revealed the names of its partners and sponsors who present their cash and in-kind awards, worth of $200,000, marking the largest since the connection's launch. A total of 16 film projects will be part of the sixth edition of CFC, held within the 2nd Cairo Industry Days in partnership with Arab Cinema Center. Cairo Industry Days is a fringe event on the margins of the 41st Cairo International Film Festival.
Every year, Cairo Film Connection presents a roster of prominent film projects that boast great potentials to help their filmmakers bring them to completion. CFC,in partnership with sponsors and partners, present monetary awards to support these film projects. These partners include: Badyã, Palm Hills Development (Egypt), ), OSN Network (UAE), Arab Radio and Television (ART)(Egypt/KSA), Rotana Group (Egypt/KSA), , MAD Solutions (Egypt/UAE), Ergo (Egypt), New Century Productions (Egypt), Arabia Pictures (KSA), Leyth Production (Tunisia), Iraqi Cinema (Iraq), Ensan Films (Egypt), The Cell ( Egypt), Arab Cinema Center (Egypt/UAE), and Red Sea Film Festival Award ( KSA).
Sixteen documentary and narrative film projects in the development and post-production phase compete for the Cairo Film Connection awards. The film projects come from countries across the Arab world; Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and Iraq. CFC revealed its jury members for its upcoming edition, including: Egyptian Screenwriter Mariam Naoum, Founder and Managing Director of Media Luna New Films, and George David, Producer and Consultant in Film and Television.
Cairo Film Connection (CFC) is held as part of the festival's prestigious Cairo Industry Days, the industry platform of Cairo International Film Festival that launched during the 40th edition of the festival in partnership with Arab Cinema Center. Cairo Industry Days provides an important space for discussions, networking sessions, meetings, workshops, masterclasses and partnership opportunities between Arab talents and regional and international key industry professionals to further support Arab Cinema. Cairo Industry Days will run from 21st to 26th of November, 2019.
