Asham's Premiere Attended by Filmmaking Stars
The cast & crew of Asham celebrated on Sunday, June 16, the premiere of the film in Nile City before its release in theaters on Wednesday, June 19th 2013.

The premiere was attended by Producer Mohamed Hefzy, Director and Screenwriter Maggie Morgan, who is presenting her feature directorial debut, Editor Ahmed Abdallah, in addition to several cinema and community stars such as Alaa Al Aswani, Lebleba, prolific Director Samir Seif, Father Botros Daniel Director of theEgyptian Catholic Cinema Center, Arwa Guda, Aser Yassin, and Ramsi Lehner. Asham's stars who attended the show included Hani Seif, Marwa Tharwat, Seif Al Aswani, Mina El Nagar, Mona El Shemi, Noha Al Khouli, Shadi Habashi, Salma Salem, Hani Eskandar, Naglaa Younis, Seham Abdel Salam and a large number of artists and filmmakers.

The event was surrounded by a cheerful atmosphere due to the presence of the clown, who moved around the attendees and created a joyful and playful atmosphere, true to the film's spirit.

Produced by Film Clinic, Asham is Maggie's feature directorial debut, which is also written by her. The film tells six intertwined stories about aspiration, disappointment, and hope set against the backdrop of a restless Cairo, itself on the brink of change. At significant points of their lives, some characters converge onto a street peddler, while other characters experience a series of events, which inevitably leads their pathways to intersect.

Maggie Morgan has previously participated in many films as a producer. She graduated from the American University in Cairo, where she currently teaches Film Studies. She directed her first documentary, The Picture, in 2002. Maggie's medium-length feature From Within: Her Stories took part in numerous festivals. Her documentary, Egypt in the Eyes of Mair, screened on MBC's Al-Arabiya in 2009.

Film Clinic has previously revealed Asham's date of release in Egyptian theaters, which is June 19th in NileCity, Plaza, and San Stefano Alexandria cinemas.
