Animated Film Ayny Participates in Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Libya

The animated film, directed by Ahmad Saleh, will partake in the Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Libya. The festival's first edition will be launched in early December in cooperation with the non-profit Erato Organization.

In its first edition, the festival will raise awareness and shed light on human rights across the world, particularly in Libya.

Based on true events, Ayny follows two young boys who run away from their mother's protection and slack line on the danger of war to play music with the instrument they always dreamt to own.
Ayny is written, directed, edited and voiced by Ahmad Saleh, music by Nizar Rohana, animated by Frank Pingel, DOP Lionel Poutiaire Somé, and produced by Stefan Gieren. The film is a co-production between Germany, Jordan and Palestine.

Ayny won 20 awards including Feather Award for The Best Jordanian film at Karama Human Rights in Jordan, Oscar's Best Animated Award for students, Best Animated Award at Lebanon International Short Film Festival, Best Short Film Award at Valletta Film Festival in Malta, and the Audience Award for Best Short Film at Twin Cities Arab Film Festival in USA

The film landed its world premiere in the Muhr Short competition of the 13th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). Ps (Palestine Animation Festival), ALFILM - Arab Film Festival Berlin, Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts, Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Festival Ciné-Palestine in Paris, Palm Springs International Shortfest in California, which has qualified the film to participate in the Oscars, and most recently, the Arab Film Festival Australia.
