Al-Hadi Ulad-Mohand’s LIFE SUITS ME WELL to screen in Moroccan theaters
Al-Hadi Ulad-Mohand’s feature film LIFE SUITS ME WELL will finally be released in Moroccan theaters starting December 21st following its recent successful tour.
The film’s events take place in the mid-1990s. Fouad is the only employee at the local post office in a small town in northern Morocco. After he is diagnosed with a neurological disease, Fouad, his wife, and their children embark on a new chapter in their lives.
In this new era, their home will be filled with love, sorrow, and memories. While Fouad slowly succumbs to his disease, his family members rediscover themselves. As time goes by, wounds begin to surface, but the desire to live is inextinguishable.
LIFE SUITS ME WELL won three awards at the Casablanca Arab Film Festival — Best Script, the Special Jury Prize, and Best Actor Award for Samir Guesmi. Moreover, it scooped the Critics’ Week Award at the 33rd edition of the Carthage Film Festival.
It also won Audience and Best Actress awards (Lubna Azabal) at the Arab Film Festival in Rotterdam, the Audience Award at the Mediterranean Film Festival Split, as well as the First Work and the Cine Club awards at the Tangier National Film Festival.
Additionally, the film garnered several awards from the CineGouna Platform when it was still in the project phase, including the Grand Prize and Best Film in post-production.
