Ahmed Fahmy Stars as Raouf in Ana Shahira.. Ana El Kha'en
Producer Hani Osama (The Producers) revealed that Egyptian star Ahmed Fahmy will be landing the leading role as Raouf in Ana Shahira.. Ana El Kha'en TV series and will start shooting his scenes soon these days. Based on the novel-duology Ana Sahira and Ana El Kha'en by author Noor Abdulmajeed, the new TV series is set to be released in two parts consisting of 30 episodes for each part, narrating the same story but from different points of view for the first time in the Arab TV drama.
Directed by Ahmed Medhat, marking his second collaboration with The Producers since Zarf Aswad (The Black Envelope), the series is scripted by the original novel's author Noor Abdulmajeed.
Previously, it was revealed that Yasmin Raeis is landing in the leading female role as Shahira, Ahmed Fouad Selim will be starring as her father Medhat Abdel Rahman, Hanan Seliman as the mother, and Yaser Ali Maher as the uncle.
Ana Shahira and Ana El Kha'en is a novel-duology written by author Noor Abdulmajeed, based on real-life events, and published by Al Dar Al Masriah Al Lubnaniah in 2013, in two separate books. Abdulmajeed recounts the story from the perspectives of its two main characters, Shahira and Raouf, each in a separate book. The first book presents the story as experienced by Shahira, and the second book is from Raouf's, her partner, point of view. Infidelity and revenge make up the central idea of the story.
This step comes after The Producers has decided to turn remarkable literary works from the Arab world into distinguished TV drama hits. Previously, the company announced its acquisition of the rights to adapt Nabil Farouk's novel Man of the Impossible into film and TV productions. The Producers, in collaboration with Film Clinic, successfully turned Mohamed Sadek's best-selling book Hepta into the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of Egyptian cinema, Hepta: The Last Lecture, as the film's revenues reached more than 26 million EGP.
Ana Shahira..Ana El Kha'en marks a new collaboration between The Producers and Film Clinic. The two companies have previously collaborated on the production of Sheikh Jackson by Amr Salama, Egypt's official submission to the Oscars' Best Foreign Language Film, in addition to Warda, Hepta: The Last Lecture by Hadi El Bagoury, Excuse My French by Amr Salama, and Before the Summer Crowds by Mohamed Khan.
Saudi feminist novelist Noor Abdulmajeed was the Editor-in-Chief of Mada Magazine in Saudi Arabia for two years, and an assistant editor at the Rotana Magazine. Many of her successful novels and anthologies got published, including her anthology W A'adat Cinderella Hafeyat Al Qadamayn (Cinderella Returned Barefooted), the novels Al Herman El Kabeer (The Great Deprivation) and Nesaa Wa Laken (They Are Women, but...), in addition to the novel that turned into a successful TV series of the same name in 2015, Oreed Rajolan (I Need a Man).
