The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 72nd Golden Globes Awards. Leading the list of nominees is Alejandro González Iñárritu's Birdman with seven nods, the most nominations any film received this year.

Birdman got nominated for Best Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical and earned its director nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Director. Michael Keaton got nominated for Best Performance By An Actor - Comedy Or Musical, Emma Stone for Best Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role and Edward Norton for Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role. The film also received a nomination for Best Original Score.

The Grand Budapest Hotel was nominated for Best Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical and Best Performance By An Actor - Comedy Or Musical for Ralph Fiennes. Wes Anderson received two nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Director.

David Fincher received his third nomination for Best Director for Gone Girl. The film earned its star Rosamund Pike her first nomination for Best Performance By An Actress - Drama. The film also received nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Original Score.

UMP distributed animated films dominated the Best Animated Feature Film category with three out of six nominations including How to Train Your Dragon 2, The LEGO Movie and The Book of Life.

Robert Duvall received a nomination for Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role, his seventh Golden Globe nomination. Reese Witherspoon performance in Wild earned her a Best Performance By An Actress - Drama nomination, while Joaquin Phoenix received a Best Performance By An Actor- Comedy Or Musical for his role in Inherent Vice.

Christopher Nolan's sci-fi film Interstellar, which has taken the box office by storm, earned a Best Original Score for Hans Zimmer.

United Motion Pictures, the biggest film distributor in the Arab world and the sole distributor of Warner Bros. Pictures and 20th Century Fox films in Egypt, released Gone Girl, The Grand Budapest Hotel, How to Train Your Dragon 2, The LEGO Movie, The Judge and Interstellar.
